Decent service, minor hiccup

I decided to get some Family Income Benefit from Save On Life. The quoting process online was very efficient and I liked being able to compare different providers quickly. The price I got was competitive, which was a big plus. When it came to actually finalizing the policy, there was a slight delay in getting the confirmation email, which made me chase them up once. However, once I contacted customer service, they resolved it promptly. The policy itself seems solid and offers good value for what I'm paying.

Good experience overall

I used Save On Life to get a quote for Level Term Insurance last month. The online form was straightforward, took about 10 minutes to fill out. I got several quotes back pretty quickly. I decided to go with one of their recommended policies. The whole process of applying and getting approved was handled well by their team. I had a couple of questions about the policy details and their customer service was helpful, explained everything clearly. The policy documents arrived digitally within a few days. No issues, felt like a very professional service.

Pretty good, no big issues

I was looking for some Critical Illness Cover and stumbled on Save On Life. The website was easy enough to use to get a few quotes. I ended up calling them to talk through some of the options, just to make sure I was picking the right one. The person I spoke with was friendly and helped me understand the differences. Applying was a bit of a form-filling exercise, but it wasn't too bad. Everything went through fine and I got my policy documents. Felt pretty smooth overall.

So happy with my policy!

I just got an Over 50s Life Insurance policy through Save On Life and I'm so happy! The process was incredibly easy, much simpler than I thought it would be. I filled out the online form and got a call back really fast. The person on the phone was super nice and explained all my options without any pressure. I found a plan that fit my budget perfectly and I feel so much better knowing things are sorted. Definitely recommending them to all my friends!

Anyone know how long it takes to get that Amazon gift card they advertise? Just signed up for a policy and wondering when I can expect it.

M Marcus B. 1 month ago
From my experience, it usually shows up after your first few premium payments. I think mine was after the second one.

It's not instant, for sure. You have to make a certain number of payments first. I think the terms say after 3 or 4 months, something like that.

Hey, thinking about getting some life insurance through Save On Life. Anyone know if they're actually legit or just some random online thing? Don't want to get scammed.

T Tom 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they're legit. I got my policy through them last year. They're regulated by the FCA, which is a good sign.

They're an intermediary, so they help you compare different insurers. I used them for my critical illness cover and everything was above board. No issues.

quick question, can you really buy a policy completely online or do you have to talk to someone on the phone eventually? kinda trying to avoid phone calls if possible.

S Sarah Whitfield 1 month ago
You can do a lot of it online, especially getting quotes and comparing. I think for the actual final setup, they do usually want to confirm things, but it's not like a high-pressure sales call.

I got my whole family income benefit policy sorted mostly online. Had one quick call to finalize details, but it was super fast. They mostly use email for docs and stuff.

Do I need a medical exam if I get life insurance through these guys? I really don't want to go through all that hassle.

J June Marsh 1 month ago
Not always! It depends on the policy and your age/health. I didn't need one for my over 50s plan, they just asked a bunch of health questions online.

For bigger policies or if you have pre-existing conditions, sometimes they do. But for standard stuff, a lot of the time it's just a questionnaire. They work with different insurers, so it varies.

Thinking of comparing Save On Life with Reassured. Has anyone used both or have any thoughts on which is better for just basic term life?

R Raj P. 1 month ago
I checked both when I was looking. Save On Life gave me a slightly better deal and their quote process felt a bit smoother. But honestly, it can depend on your specific situation.

Reassured was a bit pushier for me. Save On Life felt more chill and just gave me options without constant calls. Might be worth getting quotes from both and seeing who has the best terms for you.
